(Canvas Staff Reports)- Whether it’s sneakers,stilettoes,sandals- or all of the above, the typical woman will shell out about $ 25,000 during her lifetime for shoes , according to a recent survey reported the Daily Mail.
British insuarance company GoCompare.com found that the average woman has about 19 pairs of shoes- three pairs with heels,six pairs of flip-flops,flats ,sandals or wedges,three pairs of boots and four pairs of “Foxy Style”..They also own two pairs of “sensible” work shoes and two or so “random” purchases.
GoCompare.Com fouder Hayley Parsons told the Financial express ” Shoes are women’s one major weakness”.
Girls are generally fourteen years old when they buy their first pair without mom.After that ,they normally buy seven pairs a year. The total tab is 16,000 pounds or nearly $ 25,000.
Not all the footwear finds are designer labels because GoCompare.Com state that the lifetime tally translated into 469 pairs or about $ 53 per year.That does not mean fancy footwear is far from a shoe fan’s mind.One in four women own at least one pair of designer shoes and 53 percent wish they did.
Four in ten women said they judge another woman by her shoes.
More than half the women surveyed did’nt feel guilty about buying new shoes. However 25 percent kept their purchases a secret from their boyfreinds who “would’nt understand”.
