In summer ,most people will be outside working in thier yards. While the old attend to their routine tasks of maintaining their lawns immaculately neat a few more times during summer, the young people mow lawns to earn a little spending money while out of school. But it would make one hard to believe that in  2008 of the 1,000,00  people reportedly injured by lawn mowers, about 30000 of them were under the age 25 ,while another 15000 were under 15 years.
Many injuries can be prevented by taking proper precautions.
1. Wear safety goggles or glasses to protect the eye against debris.
2. Wear ear plugs or ear muffs to protect your hearing.
3. Wear steel core or Kevler gloves  if you have to change the blades or remove anything clogging the mower after the blades have stopped moving and the machine is turned off.For more precaution pull the spark plug wire off so that the machine cannot unexpectedly start.
4. Wear a respirator to keep the air you breath while mowing clear of debris and dust.
5. Wear supportive safety footwear with comfort when engaged in mowing.
6. Be wary of children and pets that might intrude on the scene and cause the task of mowing unknowingly off balance.
