Foot pains asscociated with ill-fitting shoes can be averted by changing to comfortably right fitting shoes. But have you ever imagined the imperceptible tear and wear of vital parts in your feet and legs that accumulate over a long period of time by having to work routinely on feet in your occupations.
What causes foot pain:
The most influential activity or foot position that affects foot pain your stance. When a person is standing two strong forces ,one coming from the heel-to – ground and one from the vertical weight of the person. The three movements that are termed the “gait cycle” are also important in causing foot pains. The longest phase of the gait cycle is the contact. This accounts for 30% of the entire cycle and is where most of the damage takes place.A common problem is pronotion, which is when a person turns the foot towards the inside and when sole bears most of the body weight and is making unbalanced contact with the ground. This causes the person to readjust his knees ,hips and pelvic region and back to align himself able to walk.
Standing all day at a workstation can be harmful to a persons body.Standing for long periods of time causes a decrease in the blood supply and to the lower extremities and as a result increases fatigue and soreness in the muscels. Also ,prolonged standing creats an accumulation of blood in certain areas of the feet and legs which lead to irritable and inflamed veins, otherwise known as varicose veins. In addition, the continuous pressure on a persons feet causes bone misadjustment and joint degeneration.
While working in a mobile ,rotating work is still bad for the lower extremities, but is better than in a stationary position. When in a rotating position,a person is able to strech and exercise different muscle groups and can avoid excessive stress from prolonged standing.

Long hours of standing can lead to straining and stretching of the planter facia known as the planter fasciitis. It is estimated that in the United States around two million people require treatment for planter faciitis every year. This is accuulated pain in the heels, but involves more than the heels. There’re other causes such as prolonged standing, structural biomechanical imbalance , irregular movement
and too much stress on the heel bone and attached tissues.
It is accepted that wearing well-cushioned,comfy and flexible footwear can absorb and assuage the pressure and pain emanating due to body stance when at work for long hours ..So take your safety precaution by wearing the right shoes for the occupation.
